4th East Barnet Sea Scouts are the only group in Barnet Borough Scout District that specialises in water activities. All members of the group have an opportunity to use the various canoes, kayaks and dinghies, currently some 50 in number, which the group own.
We use the Enfield Scout Sailing Association base at Nazeing, Essex for the majority of our boating activities but opportunities arise throughout the year for outings and camps elsewhere in the country.
The Scout Association's Progressive Training Scheme is a seamless progression of training, activities and awards that covers everything that young people can expect from Scouting between the ages of 6 and 25. This programme is delivered by our strong team of fully qualified Leaders, all of whom have undertaken extensive training to prepare them for this.
Families may be assured that Criminal Record Bureau checks are mandatory for any adult involved with children in our, or in any other Scout Group.
We are fortunate to own our purpose built headquarters building, which is the hub of our activities in Barnet.

The 4th East Barnet Sea Scout group broke a new group record recently when they invested 8 new Scouts into the section. These investitures take the combined number of members of the group to over 100 - the first time in which this has ever happened in the group. The news is especially welcome at a time when the whole group is recovering from the sudden passing of one of their valued adult leadership team.
The 4th East Barnet is the only Sea Scout group in the district- you will notice them at District events thanks to their unique blue shirts which Sea Scouts wear. The group has a long waiting list which is a measure of their success - of course all those waiting may like to consider another local group in the District. Well done to Clive and his team, and welcome to the District for the 8 record breaking youngsters!!! |
